Numbers Rule!
Ah, but which numbers? Do we assign traits up into the billions of numbers? Do we use just 2 numbers like computers, 0, 1? Do we use the ten numbers that we are familiar with 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9?
The number system we are most familiar with is called Base Ten. It consists of the ten numbers, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. However, in numerology, we use only nine of the numbers. The zero is just that, zero, nothing, no count, a placeholder. It is the other nine numbers, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 that are the complete basis for numerology used in the Western system.
All numbers, no matter how large, are reduced to these single nine numbers in order to give a reading for each individual. (Double-digit numbers such as Karmic Debts and Master Numbers will be discussed later.)
That would then raise the question, then are there only nine groups of people on this planet? No, because you, as an individual, have a full birth date, a day of the month date, and a full name that consists of consonants and vowels. These are the five different readings, called core numbers, that give you a foundational beginning. Looking at the Law of Possibilities, this means, 9x9x9x9x9=59,049 possible combinations. And this is just the foundation.
Added to this are Minor Numbers for those with name changes (adoption, marriage(s), nicknames, legal changes, etc.). There are also additional readings for those with double-digit Karmic Debts of 13, 14, 16, or 19; and Master Numbers of 11, or 22. Special meanings are given to the double-digit numbers from 10 - 99, but a significant part of the meaning is still based on the digit in the tens-place. To this can be added readings of hidden passion numbers, subconscious numbers, balance numbers, bridge numbers, maturity numbers, rational thought numbers, personal year cycle numbers, transit numbers, essence numbers, period cycle numbers, and pinnacle cycle numbers. There are others also that would be of interest to those who truly desire to become all that they can be by avoiding the pitfalls discovered in their numbers and expanding the positive parts that are revealed. Every number carries a lesson of overcoming weaknesses and improving upon strengths.
Numbers can also be used to determine the meaning of a house number, a phone number, the colors that are best worn in a 9-day cycle, finding lost objects, and ancestral influences. Numbers can also give a descriptive picture of your compatibility with another, based on the reading of the other person and how it relates to your reading.
While some feel that the power of numbers and the readings are for fun, entertainment, amusement or parlor games; others take the readings and lessons to heart and improve their lives. The decision on which it will be for you is your own personal choice. It is not possible for the reader to predict what you will do with the information as that is in your own hands.
